Music files are like any other digital file on your pc. They store the audio data in hard disk. There are types of music formats which are given below :
- Uncompressed Audio Formats ....these includes the formats such as wav, aiff etc. As you can guess by its name, these formats use no compression. So they require a large disk space.
- Compressed Audio Formats .... the major formats that we use now-a-days are compressed in one or another ways. These formats clears the music file of unnecessary, irrelevant and reduntant information. These formats includes mp3, wma, ra etc.
